Hymnal Series 2011

This series features abstract collages made from announcement cards, which were used to advertise underground Raves and House Parties in and around the gulf coast in the late 1990s. They were then arranged and mounted on the covers of old religious hymnals from the early 20th century for juxtaposition, and then mounted on Bristol Board. The Hymnal series comprises of five 15” x 11” drawings full of references to the contradictory nature of the relationship between the secular and spiritual world.
